Before starting her private practice in Washington, D.C,. Dr. Elizabeth T. Haase served as Clinical Director and Training Director of the St. Francis Center (now known as The William Wendt Center), a counseling center specializing in death, dying, bereavement and trauma in Washington.

She has also been a part-time faculty member on the staff of Washington Theological Union and an adjunct faculty member of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.

Dr. Haase has been called upon to facilitate trauma groups associated with disasters including the terrorist attacks of September 11 at the Pentagon; she worked as a facilitator for 20 years for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and has been a frequent facilitator for The Washington Regional Transplant Community. She has been named one of the top grief counselors in the Washington, D.C. metro area by Washington Magazine.

Dr. Haase trained as a Gestalt therapist and hypnotherapist as well as a life coach.

Dr. Haase is licensed as a clinical psychologist in the Greater Washington area and was a Fellow in Thanatology and a Diplomate in Hypnotherapy. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychology.
